How To Recover Data After A Computer Crash

One must accept that there are disadvantages of every technology along with its advantages. The same is with computers. Today, computers offer many benefits. Our lives have become very much simplified with the help this amazing invention, computer. So far, computers are known for their advantages but what is the disadvantage of computers. Actually, the disadvantage of computer comes in effect when a miss happening like operating system crash occurs.

You should know that crash of the operating system might lead into huge data loss. Therefore, you should be ready for this. Most of the people who have never come across computer crash do not feel the misery of data loss. There can be a large variety of data stored on your computer system like photos, documents, video files, songs, movies, etc. If you are a regular computer user then you must be ready to deal with computer crash, as the operating system can be crashed anytime. Once the system is crashed, you come across data loss; therefore, you are suggested to maintain full backup of the data stored on your computer.

Backup helps you to recover the lost data in case of system crash and thus helps you perform Windows disk recovery. It is also a fact that all people do not ever like to maintain backup or it is not possible to backup all data, if a huge amount of the data is stored. Such people even do not need to be panic when their computer meets the OS crash. They can even recover the lost data even when backup is not there. Those who do not have backup need to use Windows disk recovery software to get the lost data back. The Windows disk recovery software helps them recover the lost photos, documents, video, and other data stored on the computer, which has been crashed.

There can be many reasons behind the computer crash. Even the sudden power loss can also damage the operating system. Anyhow, once the operating system is damaged, Windows disk recovery software can help recovering the lost data. The software quickly scans the computer’s hard disk and recovers all of the available data on it. After recovering the data, the software displays the recovered data in a tree like structure so that you can easily find the required data. How To Protect Your Computer

With all the technology around today, most people would not know how to function without it. From toasters to cell phones, everything seems to be getting more advanced every day. With that being said, something going wrong is usually a pretty big deal. With schools that now depend on technology and businesses relying upon technology the smallest glitch can cause chaos in the system. Knowing how to do hard drive recovery is a pretty useful thing if you own a computer. Data hard drive recovery is essential to getting your information back in case that your computer would crash. In the event of your computer crashing, knowing how to bring all your information back is very helpful. You could lose a lot of important documents and work if you do not safe guard your computer well.

It is ideal that your computer not crash in the first place, but it can happen due to viruses. Many people will tell you that viruses are becoming a thing of the past, and which is often true. However, they are not completely eradicated from the internet yet. The new big trend with viruses will most likely be with cell phones and getting your personal information. As of now however, the same virus protection rules stand as ever. Internet viruses find their way into your computer in a wealth of ways such as emails, pop-ups, side-links, spam websites and more. These programs are tricky and know how to get what they want.

First, always have an anti-virus system and make sure it is up to date. Virus protection has gotten much more advanced in the past few years so if you keep your system updated you should be safe from harm. If you fail to do so however, you run a very high risk of infecting your computer. Do not click on to a pop-up site. If it asks you to take a survey or play a game, just exit it. Never interact with them because all it takes is the slightest of clicks. In addition, do not even enter your information into an online form unless you know and trust the website. That is another safe and important point as well. Sites that are well-known and credible are always safer than obscure and creepy ones. As a general rule of thumb, do not peruse the dark alleyways of the internet.

A great way to safe guard yourself from a total melt-down is to back up your files to an external memory device. They are much cheaper than they once were and you can get a good amount of memory. You do not even need to back everything up, just the things you would be extremely sad or troubled to lose. Pictures and important documents should always be stored somewhere other than your normal memory drive. They are much more inexpensive than they once were, smaller and with more memory; there is no reason not to own one. Following this advice could really save you some trouble and stress in the event of a catastrophe.

How To Make A Slow Computer Go Faster

Are you sick and tired of your computer running so slow, and wondering how can I make my computer faster?

This is a rampant problem, and you’re by far not the only person looking for a faster computer. Most people absolutely love how quickly they can shoot from one program or website to another when they’re computer is brand new.

However over time, your computer begins to get slower and slower. Starting up your computer becomes a whole process.so much so that you hardly even shut it down anymore because you know it will take forever to restart. You may even start to avoid using certain programs because you know that you’ll be sitting there waiting for it to load up for so long.

Usually when you’re sitting there in irritation wondering how in the heck I speed up my PC, your first thoughts probably turn toward viruses or spyware. This is normally what people think of first when they’re computer starts to act up with things like their computer freezing up, crashing out, or like mentioned before having to enduring slow start ups. This is actually a genuine concern, because viruses, spyware, and malware can cause a ton of trouble for you.

But more often than not, the problem is a registry clog up rather than a virus. Good news of course, but this can still be disheartening and annoying!

What Causes This to Happen?

You see, your computer registry (actually Windows Registry) can be thought of as basically the hub for activity on your computer. I guess you could say it’s sort of like the brain of your Windows System, which tells all of the hardware, programs, and settings (the nervous system if you will) what to do and when to do it.

It’s an essential part of your operating system, and is what actually helps everything run smoothly, but every now and then something in that nerve center goes awry and just like your body, your computer begins to have little twitches, starts slowing down considerably, and sometimes just crashes altogether. Most often it’s because of an error in the registry.

Things that cause errors are:

Installing or removing software or programs
Shutting your computer off incorrectly (or during power outages)
Changes in the control panel
Corrupt files left behind from viruses and Trojans, even after cleaned.

You need to clean these errors out of the system, and that will make internet faster, as well as make your computer faster overall.

You Have to Clean Out the Junk!

Just as well, your computer can end up with a ton of junk files, and temporary files. This is normal and simply occurs overtime because you surf the internet, delete programs, etc. Having these files clogging up your hard drive will definitely cause you to ask how can I make my computer faster.because the effect of these files is simply a slower machine.

Once these registry errors are fixed, junk files are deleted and history and cookies are eliminated, you’ll see that your computer is running almost like new again. So now the question is. “How do I clean my registry and speed up my computer?”

How Do I Speed Up My PC and Clean My Registry?

So while Windows is extremely user friendly in some sense of the word, it’s not all that easy to fix when something goes wrong. When things like your registry goes haywire, you have to nearly have to have a degree in computer science to even begin to find out where the problem is.

Thankfully there are software programs out there that find and fix the problem for you.

There are registry cleaners all across the internet that claim that they can make internet faster, make Windows XP faster, and help all those people in general who just want a faster computer.

But Will They Work and Give Me a Faster Computer?

The fact is just like everything else, some are better than others and some are outright scams. In other words it’s very easy to waste your money, especially if you’re nearly in tears and almost pleading how can I make my computer faster now? Of course these products feed on desperate buyers who need a fast solution.

After testing tons of different registry cleaners and realizing that more often than not they didn’t work, or you needed to be a genius to figure out how to use them.I found the one that I’ve used over and over again ever since finding it and I haven’t looked back.

It’s called Registry Easy and it’s made for people like me. People who just want an easy solution that works, and works fast.

Registry Easy does a myriad of things that will make your computer run faster, eliminating your problems from different angles. It will:

Scan and Clean Your Computer – From a drop dead simple to use interface, with just a couple clicks of the mouse, Registry Easy will scan, locate, and list of all the problems that is affecting the way your computer is running. This will allow you to fix the problems either automatically or manually basically with a click of the button.

Create Backups for You – You always want to create backup points when doing a registry clean, just in case anything goes wrong. This is a daunting process if done on your own, but Registry Easy does it for you giving you piece of mind. It’ll give you a Registry Backup, Restore Point, Favorites Backup and Folder.

Give you Timely Customer Support – Most software companies leave you on your own once you’ve bought their product, but not Registry Easy. They’re there to help you because they want you to be successful with their product, and that clearly shows. They answer promptly and get you up and running with clear instructions.

Give You Safer and Easier to Use System Tools – Registry Easy gives you 6 different system tools that are essential to keeping your computer running smoothly such as Block ActiveX (blocks malicious controls), File Recovery (easily recover important files), Password Recovery, Start Up Manager (gives you much more control of start up applications allowing a faster start up consistently)

Listen, there’s nothing more aggravating than a computer that’s not running optimally, especially when you’ve got important things to be done. After trying most of the major registry cleaners on the market, I’ve yet to find one as consistently powerful and easy to use as Registry Easy. It stays fast!

How To Buy A Laptop Computer

If you are thinking of upgrading your present desktop computer, obviously laptop computers are the most possible variant you will be looking for. They are slim, small, compared to desktops and most importantly – portable. However, there are some things to consider when buying a laptop computer:

1. Price.
Laptop computers are a bit more expensive than desktops, though you don’t have to buy monitor as laptop combines both. In this case the price is somewhat equal.

However, I suggest assessing your needs considering the size, performance qualities, brand and guarantee service.

2. Size and performance.
Even laptops are of different screen size and thickness. The smallest laptop has a screen of only 10 inches, the biggest screen sizes can reach up to 19 inches and more. If you are going to use it mostly while traveling and only for checking email, browsing the internet, creating and editing some office documents or watching a movie occasionally – then netbook computer will definitely fit you. They are small, light, and not too expensive, besides, some brands have long lasting battery life, for instance Asus EEE PC 1008 HA. They cannot boast of superb performance qualities and I doubt, if you will be able to do some graphics works with the mini laptop computers.

On the other hand, if you will be working at home, making and editing files which require much memory, playing up-to-date games with good graphics card along with powerful several core processor – then 17 or 15 inch laptop with some Intel dual or even quad core and at least 4 gigabytes of memory will suit you. They are more expensive than small laptops, but the difference between working with a 10 inch screen and a 15 inch screen laptop is obvious – you won’t be able to do much graphics with the first.

3. Brand and guarantee.
I have my own opinion based on my experience considering the brands choice. I would personally choose Dell, Asus or Lenovo, and would be cautious about HP, Acer or Toshiba. I have worked with Dell computers a lot, including desktops, and even a 10 year model would run like a clock, not mentioning the brand new laptops. I am currently working with Dell Inspiron 6400. Three years have passed and I still have no trouble with it, even system software has not been reinstalled, because there is no need to. Besides, the guarantee is 3 years (at least in my country, it might be different in other countries). Another option which I would consider is Asus. Asus producers have the best statistics of smallest breakdown number in the first three months of purchase. Their breakdown number increases in the longer term, but the statistical figures are still impressive.

Lenovo brand is known to be former IBM – which has always been a quality trademark. Lenovo laptops are not cheap, but they are worth it, though the guarantee is only 1 year.

HP has had some serious problems with HP Pavilion series, when a vast number of models broke down because of faulty graphics card chip. The funny thing was that many models broke down after approximately 1 year of purchase, and most of users could not use guarantee service, which is only 1 year. The problem was simple – the chip had no decent radiator to dissipate the heat and the connectors bounced off the motherboard due to extreme heating. You could bring the model to computer repair shop, change the motherboard with another video card or buy another computer. All the variants were pretty expensive. I would be more careful choosing the Toshiba or Acer model – they tend to collect much dust in a small fan area and start restarting due to excessive heat. I hope, producers have dealt with that problem in new models, and then it’s another story.

I would also pay attention to guarantee quality service. Where it is located, what’s included in the repair works and what’s not – those are important points, once you start experiencing some hardware troubles.

Having said all the above, try to define your needs, the price that you are willing to spend and the brand that you know most of.

If your computer starting slowing down or broke down completely, I suggest visiting some computer repair shop, if you don’t want to fix it yourself. Here is more info on choosing local computer repair shop and computer repair prices.

How To Avoid Computer Stress

What most computer owners have to realize is that computer repair is inevitable, whether it’s for a small problem or a big one. However there are some steps that computer owners can take to minimize these problems, make the jobs of the IT department less irritating and in the end, keep the bill from skyrocketing.

How many times have you heard someone say, “backup your data”? And how many times have you not listened? While there’s always a way to recover lost material it’s a tremendous hassle to do so and there isn’t much certainty. Remove the risk of losing your important pictures and school projects, and save yourself the stress. Take a few minutes out of your day to install a backup program.

If you don’t wish to download or install a back program, then store your important files on a USB stick. If you can, buy an extra USB specifically for holding files that you may not ever need to open unless your computer goes awry. With properly backed up files you save the IT department unnecessary computer repair time in searching the depths of your computer. You also pay less by the hour or work load. And oh, that person who warned you about backing up your data is not joking. Back it up, it doesn’t take long!

Be sure to keep your computer safe and secure in the first place. Viruses are one of the leading causes of computer damage and a constant recurrence at computer repair shops. Installing good antivirus software will prevent malware from creeping in. Scan regularly and keep up with new program updates.

Your computer can undergo serious problems with irresponsible internet browsing. Use trusted sources to download software or any other types of files. And of course, follow the age old internet rule of ignoring files you aren’t sure about. With website browsing there is also the threat of malicious spyware which you can help prevent with programs such as Spybot Search and Destroy and Hijack This. With protective systems such as those watching your back, internet browsing will be paranoia free. Your browsing privacy is vital and will prevent harmful codes and hackers from entering your computer. It will prevent damage and lessen trips to computer repair shops.

Consider adding other layers of security. Download and install a firewall. Other security precautions you might want to consider are choosing a good and safe web browser. Keep in mind that a lot of malware comes in via web browsers. Google Chrome is an excellent choice that will keep you feeling safe. Implementing strong passwords to your user and router account is another key item to keep in mind.

We all know that computer repair is a hassle and not only for the owner. Let’s make all of our lives easier and stress free by keeping our computers safe and internet browsing secure.
